Inside the Shimeji folder, you will see a subfolder named img . This contains the default character (usually a black-haired anime girl). Rename this folder to img_original as a backup. Go to the official Java website and download the JRE
Double-click Shimeji-ee.jar or Shimeji.exe . If a Java window pops up asking for permissions, click "Allow." Dedicated fans are working on a "Shimeji 2"
Unzip the Shimeji-ee folder to a permanent location (e.g., C:\Users\[You]\Desktop Buddies\Shimeji ). Do not run it from your Downloads folder.
